Some of the finished cars, ready to go at Sundown Adventureland for the Monkey Mayhem Driving School

Garmendale designed and developed their own all-electric 3DoF Motion Master 30 seater ride system.
The ride was installed at Bobbejaanland as the Forbidden Caves Ride. There are two cars that leave the station and take up to 60 passengers on a dark, immersive subterranean adventure, to a time when supernatural creatures roamed the earth. You can read more about that here.

The Runaway Mine Train had long been a family
One of our favourite rides over the years has been the Robin Hood ride at Sundown Adventureland. It’s been well themed and continually maintained, so it runs smoothly and consistently.
The Robin Hood Ride takes passengers on a journey back in time into Robin Hood’s world. Riders meet the outlaw, famous for his gallantry, robbing the rich to feed the poor and fighting against injustice and tyranny. You can read more about that here.
Weymouth’s Jurassic Skyline tower was originally built as a viewing platform for the 2012 Olympics. The tower which is 53m (174ft) tall delivered bird’s eye views of the Olympic sailing events. It’s since been repurposed to work as a standalone attraction offering views of the Jurassic Coastline.
The Jurassic Skyline Gondola, after loading, rises 53m (174ft) above the resort. Once at the top, the fully enclosed gondola slowly rotates, allowing stunning views of the Jurassic Coast. You can read more about that here.
Always a huge family
Having been in almost continuous use since it opened in 1973, there were sections of the chairlift structure that needed critical refurbishment. The most striking of which was the main chair lift drive wheel or Bull Wheel. You can read more about that here.

The Garmendale team replaced large sections of the trough structure that were suffering from decay due to exposure to the elements. Mainly the spine brackets connecting the trough support steelwork to the trough spine. You can read more about that here.
The London Eye quickly became one of the world’s most iconic structures. Our role was to install a safety gate system that ensured total passenger safety.
The Garmendale team were tasked with replacing the gating system to both meet and exceed health and safety standards but also to dramatically improve load times (and therefore footfall) through the ride. You can read more about that here.
Since the mid 1990’s Garmendale have been designing and manufacturing theme park rides for many of the World’s most well known theme parks and attractions. Covering the length and breadth of the British Isles and as far afield as the Middle East, the range of rides is extensive and designed to suit almost any ride requirement. All of the rides can be adapted to work with any brand or IP.
So let’s meet the range.
The QuadStar aerial roundabout ride has been designed as a range with six to ten vehicles. Each car allows four people to ride together with full yaw control for the ‘driver’. The design of the passenger ‘car’ can be adapted to suit any design or IP.
The Motion Master 30 is Garmendale’s biggest ride solution and the first fully electric 3DOF ride. The design has been configured to carry up to 30 people with further versions offering eight and six seats.
The QuadTrack has been designed to deliver a great value, lightweight and robust solution for tracked dark ride applications. The drive system is fully electric and features individual lap bars for all occupants. Again it is adaptable for any brand or IP.
The Garmendale range of tracked trains ranges in scale from 15″ gauge up to the much larger 24″ gauge. Train manufacture was the initial mainstay of the business dating back to 1980 and since then, over 50 train systems have been designed and manufactured.
The Motion Master Six by Garmendale is our smallest all-electric 3DoF ride system. It’s designed to carry six people and can be configured in the full 3DoF specification, or a far simpler spin option.
The Garmendale Electric Car range is both hard-working and flexible. The body can be matched to any brand or IP. The battery system has been designed so that the cars can run for a full seven-hour shift between charges and requires minimal maintenance
Tractor rides have been a staple product within the Garmendale ride range for many years and have proven to be incredibly reliable in operation. With simple maintenance, they will run for many years and one client system in operation has already carried nearly five million riders.
The MagTrac and OptiTrac ranges are AGV Dark ride systems that are designed to run indoors following a programmable ‘track’ that guides the cars around a pre-defined route. As you can see from the above image, that track is a simple floor strip and is infinitely variable.
The Electric Boat range by Garmendale is a logical and cost-effective addition to areas of open water within a park, attraction or location. They are super efficient and the battery system designed to power the boats effortlessly for a complete working day.
