We have been manufacturing, refurbishing and servicing locomotives and carriages for many years. It has been the heart and soul of what we do here at Garmendale Engineering. We have completed numerous scaled train systems ranging from 15” up to 24” gauge manufactured to specific requirements and IP for clients around the world. Having installed systems in locations such as Greece, France, Japan, Brunei and Singapore ensures we have the knowledge, skill base and infrastructure to deliver a Tracked Train Systems pretty much anywhere in the World. Back in 2011 Garmendale were fortunate enough to be awarded a contract to replace the carriages on the diesel rolling stock of Snowdon Mountain Railway. A prestigious project for Garmendale due to its recognition of being the highest mountain peak in Wales and hugely popular tourist attraction.This project is testament to our expertise in carriage building and design techniques, as the carriages required extra capacity to cope with demand whilst ensuring less overhaul weight was achieved utilising the original chassis dimensions. Garmendale succeeded on both accounts!
