Garmendale were approached by a world leading animatronics manufacturer to design an innovative tracked solution to linearly and radially traverse a dynamic motion attraction standing 4m tall and with a mass of 2 tonne for live audiences around the world!
Capable of travelling at 1.1 m/s and run for 16 hours a day, the track has been designed and calculated to operate year round and with minimal maintenance.
The track is portable and can be easily assembled/disassembled in sections to be transported and operated in various locations.
Numerous safety features and failsafe features were essential for close contact with audiences.
Drawing on experience from the rail industry we decided to include buffer systems at each end of the track to maximise safety.
